Annual Shopping Day (12/5/12)

Bernie and I once again took off the first Wednesday in December for our annual Christmas Shopping Trip.  Slept in a little and then headed to HyVee with the everyone's wish list and the sales ads in hand for breakfast and to plan our strategy.  After a good breakfast of omelets, we started shopping on the east side (so nice we can do most of our shopping on this side of town) at Kohls, Dollar Tree, Walmart, Casey's, The Gas Stop, Cherry Creek, and then headed to Office Max, Hobby Lobby, Sam's Club, Big Lots, and finally the Mall.  In between Sam's Club and Big Lots, we stopped at the Wine Celler and Coffea for a break.  My latte was pretty and delicious.  Bernie loved his wine so much he bought a whole bottle of it.

 We read our Kindle for awhile before heading out again.

 The Hughes' and Becca joined us for supper st Shenanigan's.  Becca was amazed to find out that we had been doing this meeting at Shenanigan's for a few years and was glad this year she could join us because she is no longer living in Vermillion. 

We have just one more stop for gift cards and we are done shopping!  It is so nice to get it all done in one day and do it together.  Wonder if we will still do this when we retire????
