Becca Turns 21!

It was finally here! Baby Becca turned 21! We have been preparing & waiting for this day for a long time. Her celebration started out around midnight on August 4. Casey Smith picked her up and they joined her USD buddies in Vermillion for a few hours on the town. They had a blast. Stayed overnight and came home the next day. While she was gone the evening before her birthday, I decorated for her family get together the night of her birthday. Now, she was a little under the weather the evening of her birthday (wouldn’t let us open the drapes – the light hurt her tender head) but we also had a blast. Rubber Ducky theme for her 21st Birthday made it memorable.Since she collects rubber duckies, Steph and I thought it was appropriate and had fun planning for it. Here is the card I made her.She has been asking for the updated game of Life and so Bernie & I got it for her. She has been complaining because our family game of Candyland was sold at a rummage sale. So Steph & Josh got her Candyland and Chutes and Ladders, another game we played frequently when the girls were little. We kind of nicknamed them “Brandyland” and “Shots and Ladders” for the occasion! Becca requested and got homemade pizza and chocolate chip cheesecake bars. Cupcakes were a bonus because we found cute rubber ducky cupcake holders and decorations.Travis and Casey joined us for supper. The pizza was a hit!And of course they had to try out the "new" games! What a great time! Hope you had a Happy Birthday Becca!

And of course, she went and got her new ID. Now she is legally 21!
