Ribbon Cutting at Sanford Health Research Center

Josh invited us to come to the ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Sanford Research Building on June 9. Bernie wanted to come, but it was at 4:30PM and he doesn't get back to Sioux Falls until after 5PM. Josh promised him a personal tour later. Sanford bought the old Hutchinson Techology building and renovated it for much less than building new and had a great ribbon cutting ceremony. Josh's Research Lab where he works moved in beginning of June. The building also houses the administrative offices of the top people in Sanford, including CEO Kelby Krabbenhoft. This podium was used and was surrounded by about 400 people during the ribbon cutting.Walking into the building, you are greeted by this wonderful mural of children and a tribute to Denny Sanford and his donations.

Just inside the lobby a wonderful snack line started out with a castle built of cheese and had awesome shrimp cocktails and other finger food for us to enjoy.
We toured the administrative offices of Kelby and Co. first. Very nice. Not as large and opulent as I would have thought them to be. Then Josh gave Steph and I our own personal tour of his work areas. Here is the doorway into the Research Facility.

We found Josh right away on the wall of fame.
And made him pose by his picture for the scrapbook.

He showed off his cubicle, but Steph and I agree it needs a little personalization.

This view overlooks the research bay area.

Josh posed for us by his personal station.

Which he HAS personalized!

Thanks Josh for the invite to see your working world. It was fun to see where you spend your day. I enjoyed seeing lots of people I knew.

Thanks for coming and being our photographer! Although hard to say if you came for Joshua or for the socialization. You knew more people there than Joshua did!
