Bernie's Email (3/4/13)

Bernie and I are trying to adjust to life without the Hughes living with us.  Here is an email Bernie sent the day after they all left:

WHAT WAS MISSING IN MY LIFE TODAY:

The excitement of waking a sleepy Hadley for breakfast.

Picking up toys and thinking how much fun it would be to be a kid again and play with those toys.

Stephanie's smiles and good cheers at breakfast, after work, and during the evening.

Hide and seek game with Hadley.

Taking an evening stroll outside with Hadley.

3 p.m. excitement of knowing I would go home to kids.

Waving good bye.

Being waived good bye.

Missing daily updates by Josh on the new house construction.

Looking at Stephanie and being pround of her strenghth of motherhood and love of children.

Corbin wrinkling his brow trying to figure out who this guy is and then giving me a big smile.

Tip toeing through the house hoping I wouldn't step on a toy.

A small living room, it seems so large without all the guest trimming.

An evening of visiting with Stephanie like she never left.
