Hadley's Baby Shower

Becca and Val DeWitte organized and ran a wonderful baby shower for Steph and Hadley! I had a small part - providing a little bit of food. I got a few things done ahead of time. I cross stitched a bib for Hadley and made a baby card.

Josh went to Minneapolis for the weekend for one last fling before he is a Daddy. He called it his "Babachelor weekend". He had lots of fun with Bryan and Wes. Bernie, Becca, Val and I went over to help Steph get the house cleaned and set up for the shower Friday night. We found this in Hadley's room. Steph's cousin Angie had given them some of the kids toys and they found her name in the set of blocks and put it on the toy tower!

We had fun getting things ready on Friday night and had just a few things left to do Saturday morning. These three are busy crafting a name banner. Thank goodness for the Cricut!

They put it on the doors in the living room. Cute!

Crepe paper around Hadley's door led visitors to her room! Becca enjoyed calling them streamers.

Hadley's room was all ready for visitors. Her stuffed toys were lined up and waiting.

We got the egg bake, muffins, fudge, bagel dip and drinks all ready for the crowd to arrive. Fudge for brunch you say? It was a huge hit!

Coffee is brewing and OJ is chilling.

JJ arrived and brought with her two beautiful diaper cakes for decorations and such cute little butterflies made out of diapers and wash cloths.

Val make cute cupcakes and we decorated the table with them. Yum!

Becca's button says "Auntie", mine says "Future Grandma", Steph's says "Future Mom" and Val's says "Best Friend".

The guests arrived to find a table with cards to write parenting advice or just a note and onesies and bibs to decorate!

The gift table got really full fast!

Time to open gifts. Steph and Hadley got absolutely wonderful things from so many beautiful family members and friends!

JJ also took many pictures during the gift opening. Will post them in another entry!

Time for clean up. After everything was put away (or left out for Josh to inspect) we relaxed and got a little silly. Yes, that is beer Becca is drinking out of a dollar store baby bottle that was used for decoration! She will be a great role model for little Hadley!

Great job Val & Becca on putting on the best shower ever! Steph was very, very pleased and overwhelmed with how wonderful it was!
