Viva Las Vegas....Again!

I got to go to Las Vegas again this year! Starkey Hearing Aid Company was having a Government Seminar to review their new products and my friend from North Carolina, Pam Wilson, and I signed up to go. I flew out of Sioux Falls on Sunday, November 14. This sign greeted me again when I got off the plane!

This time we were staying at the Encore. It is partnered with the Wynn (everyone liked the Wynn so well, Steve Wynn decided to build another one just like it, hence the name "Encore"). I was excited because we had not ventured this far north when we were in Vegas in August, so I got to see some places I had not yet been to. The Encore and Wynn buildings are beautiful.

The check in lobby was gorgeous - done in red and white with a mild oriental theme.

I just loved the butterfly theme and the carpets were beautiful.

Casino was humming the whole 3 days I was there.

I checked in and got my room. I was greeted at the door by a doorbell to my room. Now that is fancy! Starkey does well for us.

My room was amazing. The couch in the living room was so big. I instantly felt guilty that I was the only one staying in this room! There was plenty of space for my whole family.

The desk included all the hook ups for internet as well as a fax machine!

A luscious kingsize bed with a comforter that was so soft!

The only time I touched this food station was to open the doors to take a picture. The little sign said if you take the food items out for more than 60 seconds you are charged! Don't think I have that much in my savings account!

This is the foyer and door to the hallway. Awesome!

The bathroom was huge and so beautiful! There was a wisp of warm air when I opened the shower. Nice!

Robes to use. No sign if you take them off the hanger you will be charged......

The sinks and counter were awesome. I loved the little lighted vanity mirror and used the stool to put on my socks. I could watch the TV in the wall beside the sink as I got ready in the morning and could see it through the shower.

The toilet had it's own little room with a phone, just in case you needed it.

Beside the bed was this little alarm clock that also controlled the lights and drapes. Awesome!

The view from my window was a beautiful view of the strip.

I was looking down on the one of the 4 pools in the complex.

Between the living area and the bed was a huge TV that swiveled which ever way you wanted it.

I turned on the TV to watch the news. I love to watch the local news when I am staying somewhere and see what is going on in the city.

Oh my! Look at what greeted me on the screen!

I relaxed until Pam called me. We met downstairs and decided to walk down to the Strip. We angled through the Encore/Wynn complex and it was beautiful. While Encore had the butterfly theme, Wynn had a flower theme. This gorgeous walkway led to the Wynn Registration desk.

We were fascinated with the flower balls.

This flower bed was so pretty.

I took Pam to see the Venetian, which was one of our favorite places when we were there in August. She loved the gondola rides. So pretty.

So we took each other's picture there.

Garth Brooks plays occasionally at the Wynn. His picture and advertisements were all over. We missed him by a week.

The Wynn had some beautiful ceiling decor.

Pam wanted to go to her room to rest before our evening session, so we went back to the Encore after enjoying Caesars Palace. I lasted about 5 minutes in my beautiful room when I decided I couldn't stay in the hotel when I was in Las Vegas. I headed down the strip again. went to Harrah's and Toby Keith's Bar.

These Bud Light Lime's made me miss my family. Magan had introduced me to them on our great family vacation!

Walked around the strip and did a little souvenir shopping. Headed back to the Encore and these beautiful pansies greeted me in the area around my hotel.

This is the view outside my hotel room window at night. Awesome!

The button above the lobby button in the elevator read "Spa/Pool". On my way downstairs the Monday morning for the seminar, I was early and just had to push it and see what was on that floor. It was beautiful! This is the lobby. There were lots of salons and a fitness center. Oh, if only I had money!

The seminar was in the ballroom area connecting the Encore and the Wynn. Some of the most beautiful decorating I have ever seen.

After our seminar on Monday, Starkey took us out to eat at Del Toro Restaurant at the Palazzo. We ate on the lower level and the room was surrounded by VERY expensive cars. Tables were set up in the middle and we had a delicious family style Italian dinner.

After dinner, Pam and I went back to our rooms to rest for the next day. I got up each morning and got a $5.41 coffee in the lobby. This is what an expensive coffee looks like.

I was up early on Tuesday of course. Still on SD time. Got ready and spent some time in my room reading.

More than one comfortable place in my room to relax.

The sun rises early in Las Vegas. The view from my room was great!

I couldn't help but take a picture of the bathroom stalls in the Women's room in the ballroom area. We were so impressed how beautiful everything was.

After the morning session on Tuesday, the limo took us to the airport to catch our flights. This is my parting shot before I got on the plane heading back home. It was a great trip, and I loved seeing Pam, but I would rather vacation in Las Vegas with my family!
