A Day In Vermillion

Becca invited us to come down to Vermillion on Saturday, November 6, to visit. Football game day. Her roommate, Kaylani, set aside some tickets for us. She is a cheerleader and can get tickets for guests. Thanks Kaylani! Me, not being a football fan, gave my ticket to Steph so she could go with her Dad. We enjoyed Tailgating in the field right outside the dome. They had free hotdogs and chips. Steph, Blueberry and Becca had some. Bernie and I were saving ourselves for the Pub. :)

The marching band came out to serenade us.

It is their tradition to play loudly by the toilets and knock on the doors! We were warned not to be in them when the band was around!

We watched a bit of beer pong going on outside the green "Yote".

Everyone else headed into the game and I headed downtown. Shopped at a few stores. Headed to Dollar Tree and spent a few dollars. Then on to McDonalds for fries and coffee. Spent a couple hours there reading. It was relaxing. Checked out Jones Food Mart. Felt like I was in my little Sunshine! Oh how I miss that store! Got the call that the game was about over, and went and got Steph & Bernie. We went straight to the Main Street Pub and saved spots for 10. Kaylani and family joined us, as well as Shalena. Had a great meal. Enjoyed meeting Kaylani's family. Back to Becca's place so Bernie could change out the shower head and then back to Sioux Falls. Fun Saturday in Vermillion! Thanks Becca!
