Ideker Easter Day

Easter Sunday dawned bright and beautiful. We all slept in. I got to enjoy my favorite Sunday event - a great pot of coffee and the Sunday paper. We gathered later in the morning for egg bake, Easter muffins, and fruit. After brunch, the "kids" enjoyed an egg hunt in the basement. Bernie had put this sign on the basement door so they wouldn't go down there before the "big event".

It was a mad scramble to find the eggs. The two competitive ones (Becca and Josh) ran like crazy while the laid back one (Steph) took her time and found them at leisure. We made them count them to be sure all were found (57). Then it was upstairs to see what the Easter Bunny had brought!
Bernie got lots of candy.

Josh found a gift card to Qdoba among his goodies.

Steph is going to eat at Valentino's.

Becca will be enjoying Applebees soon.
And I will be able to eat lots of good chocolate.
The rest of the day was relaxing with a few games and togetherness. Josh went to the lab for awhile and then came back for Steph and they went home to beginning cleaning out the basement so Dan can start putting up walls. Becca napped and then we had a nice supper of stromboli. Back to school for her - no school on Monday for USD but Jolly Elemetary needs her for noon recess!

So much fun! The Easter bunny totally outdid himself/herself this year!
