Baier Day

Teresa Baier texted me last week that all the Baier clan was getting together on the farm the weekend of Easter and invited us to come join them. Well, I always say you don't invite the Idekers if you don't want them to come. It had been so long since we had a Baier event that we were hungry to see them. The reason for the invite was Holden's 2nd birthday. I made him this card and got him a couple of cars and a book.

Becca had to work, but Steph, Josh, Bernie and I headed out of town early. We got to the Baier Ranch about 11AM and enjoyed lunch with the whole clan. Delmont was having an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids in town. The little ones were in the park between the post office and community center.
Hannah found her eggs and got a little Christmas bear.

Carter found a few.

Cade and Hannah shared what they got.

Holden found quite a few.

Grandpa Joel and Grandma Sandy were there.

The little kids went back to the farm for a nap before the big birthday party, and the rest of us gathered at the Delmont Inn to discuss the Easter Egg Hunts. Joel put money in the jukebox and Victoria and Carter had a good time dancing and playing music.

The guys bellyed up to the bar.

Josh and Steph caught up on life with Teresa.

Joel and Sandy have not had very good luck lately with keeping dogs on the farm. They lost another one this week when Sandy's book club member ran him over. They found a new puppy on Friday and he was so cute and cuddly. Josh is in love. Joel checked his pockets before he left the farm to be sure he didn't try to smuggle Shiloh out.

After Steph had snapped their picture with the puppy, Carter asked her if she would take his picture alone. Isn't he adorable!

The little ones were still napping when it was time for us to head back home, so we didn't get to do the birthday cake and presents. But we had a great time the few hours we got to spend with our second family.
