Little Girl All Grown Up

You know, I struggle with the fact that my little girl is all grown up. Now that sounds weird, I know, but she is my baby. Embarrassing Becca? Sorry. My daughters grew up way too fast. We were so busy when they were little with work, home, life in general, that suddenly they were school, they were in middle school, they were in high school and then college. Then suddenly we have a wedding, etc. etc. Well, it was tough enough that my baby turned 20, but now she is so independent! Well, that really isn't a shock. Becca has always been fiercely independent. First words not "Mama" or "Dada" but "I do it myself". Ok, Ok. But yesterday she drove up to the Mall of America with two of her roommates and had a great day shopping and showing Abby the Mall. Abby had never been before and Becca had been shocked at that. We go almost every summer. But the fact that Becca went all that way, with no problems and without her parents, guess that is just how grown up she is! Well, almost all grown up. She visited Build a Bear and had a great time showing Abby and Kaylani all the fun of creating your own bear, grooming them and dressing them. Welcome Shamy!

Phew! What a relief! Becca may be all grown up, but she still has a little girl side to her that will always be my baby!! Love you Becca!

Awesome post! Love to hear your thoughts and feelings! Good thing your babies are still fairly close, you know they won't ever go to far.
