It is Sunday night already and I can't believe how fast the weekend went. Friday morning, Josh's Grandma Ila Neises passed away. We are sad for Mary and family to lose her so suddenly. Will be going Tuesday night to the Prayer Service and her funeral is Wednesay. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Friday night Becca came home and Steph came over. Bernie headed out to Humboldt. I went to George Boom Funeral Home for a friend whose Father passed away. I stopped at Papa Murphy's and got a pizza. Becca, Steph & I had an enjoyable supper visiting and eating pizza. My cousin from Kansas and her husband were at my Mom's visiting, so Steph and I went there to see them while Becca met friends at a movie. Played a little big with Steph's new Pink Cricut before she went home - it is cool!! Saturday went to the Sidewalk Arts Festival with Karen and Steph (Becca of course worked her two jobs that day), had lunch at Mama Lada's and then hit an awesome rummage sale that had literally thousands of stamps and supplies. We left there with a sack full of stamps and things! What a great buy! Stopped at Steph & Josh's house and gave Karen the grand tour. Home then and we relaxed a little, visited with Becca between jobs, and Josh came over. Bernie, Steph, Josh and I went to Hartford to Uncle Zim's 80th Birthday Party. It was a fun filled evening seeing Bernie's relatives again and re-introducing Steph & introducing Josh to them all. Steph is still chuckling how Bernie's Zimmer cousins introduced themselves to her and gave their number in line of the 13 kids. They are all great people.
Sunday Bernie and I bought a new 19" HDTV for the camper and hooked it up to be sure it works. It does!! Brings in about 7 channels. We are ready now for camping at Yankton - we can watch the news and weather now! Yeah! The antennae had been broken for a couple of year and we bit the bullet and paid to have it fixed and now we can enjoy TV again. This little TV has a DVD player built right in. Cool. Steph came over and we went to the three Million Dollar Homes on the Parade of Homes. It was a disappointment because 2 of the 3 we had seen before, and the 3rd one wasn't that great. We went and picked up Josh and went to the two Kelly Nielsen homes in Harrisburg that were on the Parade of Homes and stopped at Steph & Josh's house just to look around. Off to Sports Zone next for a relaxing supper. Dropped Josh off at home and Steph came over to fix our remote and get the PC going with our HDTV. Now we can watch online movies. Josh had hooked it up for us but we just weren't sure how to do it all. After a couple games of Idiot, Steph headed home. Now I am quickly blogging and then will have to head to bed to get ready for a short week at work - Bernie and I will be heading to Yankton Wednesday night for 5 days and 5 nights of fall camping!! Later!!
