The Flu Has Arrived! (2/13/13)

The morning of February 13 started out OK.  Got ready to go to work but Steph and Hadley just didn't feel well.  I was uneasy about going to work, but left anyway.  All the way to work I just felt bad that I had left.  I didn't get all the way up the elevator to 4th floor at work when my phone rang.  It was Josh.  Steph was not feeling well and Hadley was just not happy Grandma had left. Both were running temperatures.  He really was not well himself, but really  needed to go to the house and get lots of things done.  Could I come back home.  Decision made.  Told the necessary people at work and I was out of there.  When I got home, Steph brought out the sack of clothes she had just gotten.  Hadley has been wearing her robe and she found one just for her at The Children's Place.  Boy was Hadley happy!

 Smiley Corbin echoed the sentiment!
Hadley took a look at the other things, but she was totally thrilled with her new robe.  And it was just the right day to get it.  She was running a temperature and not feeling well.
Snapped a picture of the two kids in their new hats.  (Hadley put Corbin's on him - can you tell?)  Josh took Corbin to daycare for the day.  Corbin was the only one not running a temperature.  He had a cough and runny nose, but otherwise appeared to feel the best of all of them.
As soon as Josh left, Steph took Nyquil and headed to bed.  We didn't see her again until about 5:30PM!  Hadley and I settled in for a day of medicine and love.  I had bought this doctor kit for her doll and stashed it.  Today was just the right day to bring it out.  Hadley had a blast using it to care for her doll.

She sure knew how to use a stethoscope!  Josh has taught her well.
Grandma's heart is just fine - full of love for her two little Grandbabies!
We got caught up on the bottle for Corbin.
 Had a tea party.
Gave Hadley a nice warm bath. After her bath she wore her robe and towel, which she called her "monkey head" and proceeded to fall asleep on my lap in Papa's chair for about 2 1/2 hours.  Thank goodness for the Kindle - you can hold it while you hold a sleeping child!  She kept on her robe and "monkey head" for almost the rest of the day.  Josh came home with Corbin for supper to find that we had a pretty good day of healing.  Medicine took care of the temperature.

Hopefully everyone will be better soon and Bernie and I don't get sick!
