Lake Pahoja

We hadn't been camping at Lake Pahoja for a very long time.  I don't think since Becca was about 18 months old and burned her hand.  It is a difficult park to get into because they don't take reservations.  We decided to do our fall camping trip this year there because Bernie and I could go early in the week.  We headed out Wednesday, September 12, and we got a great spot with water.  We stayed until Monday September 17.  It was an awesome trip.  This is our wonderful spot.

 Bernie and I had a leisurely day on Thursday.  We rode our bikes around the whole lake, about 4 miles.  It was beautiful weather and beautiful scenery.

 We have been wanting to go to Grand Falls Casino.  Bernie talked to one of our neighbors who said they had a great lunch buffet for $6.99.  Friday we skipped breakfast and headed to the Casino.

 We toured the Hotel area.  This is the pretty pool looking over the balony of the room we snuck into when the maid was cleaning.  :)

 Did a little gambling.  Each put in $20 and cashed out with $18.75 and $11.25.  Not bad for 45 minutes of playing.  Then on to lunch.  It. Was. Awesome.

 Steph and Hadley came out that evening for supper.  Didn't stay long - they were tired and Josh was in Philadelphia.  He was heading home the next and they wanted to come back Saturday when he was back.

 After they left, we went another great bike ride.

 Saturday, the Hughes came back with Becca in tow.  Hadley got right into playing.

 Relaxed outside around the camper.  Weather was awesome and heard Josh's stories of his trip to Philadelphia.

 Steph loaded a Peekaboo Farm game for Hadley on her iPad.  Hadley loves it.

 Josh brought back awesome cookies from a bakery in Philadelphia.  We had fun throughout the day sampling and sharing them.

 The three of us were in our  matching shirts today and had to have a picture taken.

Becca stayed overnight with us and the Hughes returned on Sunday, minus Josh who stayed home to work.

Steph, Becca and Hadley headed home Sunday night.  Bernie and I stayed over until Monday.  We packed up early on Monday, skipped breakfast again, and took in the lunch buffet again at the Grand Falls Casino.  We got kind of hooked on that place.  Today gambling was profitable for me - I cashed out my $20 at $21.75.  Bernie cashed out his $20 at $18.25.  Not bad again for 30 minutes of playing.  We fell in love the Lake Pahoja again and hope we can come back again next summer.
