Crazy Weather Weekend

They warned us. As a result, it was no surprise. But it was so sunny and warm on Saturday, we thought they might be wrong. But they weren't. It started sleeting during the night Saturday night. Even had thunder. Becca and Travis had gone to Steph & Josh's to have a evening together. Becca encouraged Travis to pack a bag in case the weather got bad, so Travis slept over. Sure enough it was icy in the morning. We ended up getting about an inch and half of thick ice on our driveway and sidewalk. We spent a nice, lazy, fun day on Sunday. Steph & Josh couldn't stand that we were here without them, so they came for supper even though it was so icy out. Travis & Becca took a little skate to Kmart after supper and got a dart game. Had been kind of wanting one, but now seemed a good time to invest. They couldn't figure out where to put it on the wall, so they practiced with it on the stairs!Monday I met Cherie and Janine for breakfast at Panera Bread. By the time I got home, Travis and Becca were up and had breakfast. They worked with Bernie to reinforce the wall and got the dart board up and playing. We watched Despicable Me again while they played darts. I loved how I looked over to the couch to see the three of them taking a break from darts to catch our favorite "It's so fluffy!" part of the movie! Travis headed to Garretson in the afternoon to see his Mom and pack to head back to school. He made it fine. Becca and I went to Steph & Josh's for a Pampered Chef Party. Had a blast there with Val. Becca stayed over night and headed back to school Tues AM. What a wonderful way to spend horrible weather time!
