Hall Christmas

Grandma Hall decided it was time to turn Christmas events over to us. When you are 90 years old, you can do that! We have always had Christmas at her house, except for the year she had surgery. This year Steph & Josh graciously offered to have the Hall Christmas at their house. They have such a nice, open place to have lots of people comfortably. Becca went over early to help Steph make the BBQ's, in her "Hawaiian" recipe. She took two of Bernie's aprons with her to keep them clean. Now, I have to tell you a little about these aprons. The one Becca is wearing came with Bernie when I married him. It is quite worn and the plastic holster is falling off, but it still protects your clothes. Steph is wearing Bernie's green one that Grandma Hall made him. The girls have fond memories how Bernie always got dressed in the mornings before work and then wore his apron to eat breakfast so he didn't get his dress clothes dirty! For nostalgic sake, they wore them to get things ready for Christmas! We had a wonderful spread. Lots of good food and treats.

Here is crockpot row with BBQ, cheesy potatoes, beans and cheese dip. One can never own too many crockpots!

The Hall's/Ideker's/Hughes' gathered. Ryan brought his lovely girlfriend, Haley, to our event. We met her at Thanksgiving and were glad to have her. Of course, Kasi came with Kellen!

Here are the little table favors I made for our Christmas gatherings.

After we ate, time to get down to opening presents! Karen got herself a nice new camera, so everyone had to pose twice for this event.

Becca's Christmas list had cash and toilet paper on it, along with a crockpot, which she also got. Grandma gave her one roll of toilet paper.

But Steph outdid Grandma. She made Becca a Toilet Paper Cake, complete with Christmas Rubber Duckies! Beautiful job Steph!

The Hall's made Grandma a beautiful calendar with pictures in it. Grandma will enjoy using it this year.

Aaah, good books!

Can't wait to try Karen's cupcakes! I want to be on the Quality Control Board!

Travis came to join us at the end of the gift opening. Wow, our little group is getting bigger and bigger!

Next, time for Bingo! Steph & Becca set out the prizes and told everyone what we had so they would know what to fight, er, what to work for!

Kellen had his eye on the Miller Lite and Becca was keeping her eye on the Bud Lite!

Congratulations Ryan and Josh on winning Blackout. They had to share the $20 grand prize.
Once Bingo was done, XBox came on for the guys to play. Had to get a little game time in.

Angie gave Steph & Josh some books and toys that Danica and Tabor outgrew. Aunt Becca spent some time in Hadley's room going over the stash.

Once game time was over, it was picture time! I know it's not everyone's favorite time, but they sure do cooperate with me. Thank you everyone. Our group is getting bigger and bigger and better looking every year! Great smile Don!

And we took a great family picture for Don & Karen. Great smile Don!

It was a great day. Thanks Steph & Josh for letting us gather at your wonderful home. After the Hall's left, Bernie, Josh, Steph, Becca, Travis and I watched Despicable Me. Second time for Bernie, Steph and I. First time for Josh. Great way to end a perfect day!
