Gender Reveal Party

Steph had scheduled her ultrasound for Friday, October 22nd, and knew they would be able to tell if she was carrying a boy or girl. Having inherited the party planner gene from her Dad and the Scrapbook gene from her Mom, she and Josh decided to plan a Gender Reveal Party to tell everyone at once whether it was a boy or girl. The first evening that everyone could get together was 6 LONG days later! Very proud of Josh and Steph (especially Josh) for keeping their secret that long! The big day of the Reveal Party finally came. Everyone was supposed to dress in the color of their choice of boy or girl and bring a list of names. Here is Team Pink:
And here is Team Blue, a much bigger crowd:

Here are the proud parents, just bursting and can't wait to reveal!

We each got a party favor Steph had made for us. So cute!

When we opened them, IT'S A GIRL!

Then Steph added a little pink bow to her cute top.
Team Pink was feeling pretty smug! Next was the big Reveal of the Nursery! Steph & Josh had worked so hard on this room and kept it quiet for a long time. Beautiful balloons greeted us.

Here is the beautiful toy/book shelf Steph put together. She found the furniture piece at IKEA and she got the vinyls from Stampin Up.

Our little girl already has a closet of clothes started for her! Every girl needs lots of clothes! Steph & Josh went to Omaha on Sunday and had a blast buying things for their little daughter.

This corner will get lots of use. What a nice rocking chair to spend time snuggling in.

Necessities!

Changing table and dresser.

Cute wall decorations.

Open one of the drawers to quite a collection of caps and socks! Check out the baseball cap and socks!

What great bibs!

This one is my personal favorite!

Mary made a beautiful diaper cake and filled it with nice gifts.

We enjoyed a great supper of BBQ's, BBQ Pork Sandwiches, cheesy potatoes.......

And PINK Pumpkin Cake!

Aunt Becca, wanting to win favorite Aunt status early on, brought cute gifts including a monkey bib (she used to collect monkey things herself) and quite a few great books to put on the bookshelf.
Here JJ and Dan hold up the Revealing ultrasound shots that tell us our little girl is growing well.

Proof it is a girl!
It was an awesome party. So glad everyone could be together for the news. Now can't wait for our little PINK Blueberry to get here!
