Happy Birthday Elsa Hall!

My Mom turned 90 years old this year. For 54 years, she has shared her birthday with me, but this year we made her birthday special. On Saturday, February 6, we had an Open House Party for her at her church. Karen and I went early and decorated the church. It looked really pretty. The church ladies came and helped in the kitchen serving cake and coffee. We started out the event with a family picture. Mom looked so nice in her new jacket that Karen got for her.

Mayor Monson came and proclaimed the day Elsa Hall Day. Thanks Don for getting that done!

The room filled with family and friends. It was wonderful to see all the people that came. The ladies working thought they had counted around 100 people. The cake was scored for 96 and we only had a couple pieces left!

After a lovely time at the church, we took Mom to the Brandon Steakhouse for supper. It was a relaxing way to end this wonderful day. It will take Mom awhile to come down from this. I think it was even more wonderful than she thought it would be!

Thanks to everyone who made this day turn out great. Thanks to all the family and friends who came. A special Thank You to my brother Don and his wife Karen who helped me get it all ready. And to the rest of my family for their help, support and for being there. Love you all!
